An Egyptian writer and poet who has published 14 books of short stories, poems, and essays. She writes for several Egyptian and Arab publications, and some websites. She won the Egyptian Writers Union Award in 2009 for poetry in classical Arabic for her book "Traveler to the Impossible", translated into English by Nawal El Saadawi and Kenneth Rosen. In 2022, the Egyptian General Book Authority published a book of poetry of hers entitled: “Where did my mother Nawal disappear?” She dedicates it to the soul of her mother, Nawal El Saadawi, who passed away on March 21, 2021.
She holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Institute of Environmental Studies and Research, Ain Shams University. And a master's degree in development and urban planning from the University of London. Bachelor of Economics and Political Science, Department of Economics, Cairo University.
